Black Achievers Society of Greater Kansas City

the mission of the black achievers society of kansas city is to actively respond to the educational, social and economic needs of the community by providing role models for blacks and minority youth, sharing knowledge gained through academic and corporate experience. the black achievers society is a not-for-profit organization, founded in 1974 to honor african americans in business and industry by rev. emanuel cleaver ii, congressman of the mo-5th district and former kansas city, missouri councilman and mayor. we are organized exclusively for charitable, educational, religious or scientific purposes in accordance with section 501c(3) of the internal revenue code. through its many partnerships, black achievers provides mentoring and yldw internships for area youth. we meet regularly ….to support these much needed efforts in our community.
