bekome is a non-governmental foundation that was formed in 2018by martha muigai, with a vision to eradicate poverty through education by empowering teen mothers as well as bright, vulnerable and financially challenged children by financing their school. this initiative aims to offer a comprehensive bolster to the scholars through provision of not only tuition fees but also mentorship to the students. in order to provide a lasting solution and a practical approach to our empowerment goal, we intend to be able to support them through tertiary education to ensure they become fully self-reliant and are able to achieve their full potential. our work is centered on the journey from poverty to education to employment / business establishment.
