the b4 empowerment trust was established in 2008, primarily to provide an independent and expertly administered, managed and monitored vehicle to organisations for channeling their bee socio-economic development (“sed”) to bee-qualifying beneficiaries. b4 empowerment trust is certified by a sanas-accredited verification agency as a qualifying sed beneficiary in terms of the promulgated b-bbee codes of good practice. this non-profit trust was founded in 2008, registered as a public benefit organisation (pbo) in accordance with section 30 of the income tax and structure in accordance with the bee codes of good practice. all qualifying sed contributions are tax deductible. millions have been distributed to beneficiaries since and it currently distributes more funds to its beneficiaries than donations received, mainly as a result of trustees waiving any remuneration, trust keeping its costs at an absolute minimum and through interest and dividends received. beneficiaries: satc
