we got our start in 1995 as a commercial investigative services firm, offering a broad spectrum of investigative services, including background checks. when the web took off soon after and technology was evolving faster than ever, much of the work involving pre-employment screening became automated, and our business grew significantly. by 2000, thanks to this rapid growth, we decided to focus solely on background checks, rebranding our company as a web-based organization in 2002 and adopting the name easybackgrounds. along the way, we’ve become very involved within the background screening industry. as a founding member of the national association of professional background screeners (napbs), easybackgrounds management and employees have volunteered on a wide variety of committees, worked with legislators to promote or fight regulation, and represented the industry in venues across the country. through all of it, we’ve tried to be a good corporate citizen with philanthropic efforts, vo
