i have been a freelance writer and editor since 1990. in 2002, i launched easyread writing based on the belief that everyone is entitled to information they can read and understand, especially information related to individuals' well being. from 1996 to 2002 i worked in the public health field editing grant proposals and managing a pediatric literacy program and health literacy program in a public hospital. i began specializing in plain language and health literacy while working in public health, and in 2010, i expanded my services to offer coaching to writers in the health field. in 2012, i added health coaching services to help people with chronic illness understand what they need to know to live as well as possible.
