the electrical contractors'​ association of ottawa (eca ottawa) is a not-for-profit organization that represents unionized electrical contractors in the greater ottawa area. governed by an elected board of directors, eca ottawa provides leadership and accountability in the electrical industry. eca ottawa’s membership is approximately 100 unionized electrical contracting companies who operate in the greater ottawa area. as one of 11 area associations that make up the electrical contractors’ association of ontario (ecao), eca ottawa speaks on behalf of its members on issues regarding electrical contracting legislation, health and safety policies, and construction legislation. we also lobby on behalf of our members to make changes in the industry representing the best interests of our membership. eca ottawa acts as the administrative office for local apprenticeship committee (lac). we support unionized apprentices from the start of their term to the writing of their qualification of trade
