cas institute is a social enterprise that does environment based capacity building (training and mentorship) and research in kenya and the east africa region. our mandate is to undertake capacity building activities such as high level advocacy, policy support and dialogue, creation of multi-stakeholder processes and support to knowledge exchange, organizational development support, training of trainers and institutionalizing training, creation of networks, twinning arrangements (between research institutes) and corporation, process support, exposure/study visits, technical advisory support, on-the-job learning (including coaching), formal face-face training sessions, and coaching. since its establishment in 2015, the environmental capacities and technical services (ecas) institute has emerged as one of the capacity development social enterprises in the region. it has catalyzed scalable change by strengthening the capabilities of public and private sector institutions and created pla
