frothy tune’un temelleri, 2010 yılında yılmaz atamer ve ece barak tarafından atıldı. daha sonra davula fatih aygün’ün de dahil olmasıyla 2012 yılında frothy tune kuruldu. kurulduktan bir hafta sonra yeditepe üniversitesi spring fest 2012’de ilk performanslarını sergilediler. 2013 yılında arda görgün grupta klavyenin başına geçti ve ekibin kemik kadrosu bu şekilde oluşmuş oldu. nisan 2015’ten beri grubun gitarlarını mert özçiftçi çalmaktadır. grubun kuruluşundan bugüne klavyede ali yalkın resuloğlu; gitarda tolga şişko, serkan soyak ve ozan demir; geri vokallerde dicle gülşahin gruba eşlik ettiler. repertuarında ağırlıkla yabancı pop coverlarına yer veren ve insanları eğlendirmeyi amaçlayan frothy tune, bir yandan da sözleri tamamen i̇ngilizce olan beste çalışmalarını sürdürmektedir.
