the bahá'í centre of learning is an educational institution established for the benefit of the people of tasmania. its programs are guided by the aspirations of the bahá'í faith to utilise the insights of religion, science, and the arts for the spiritual, intellectual and social development of individuals and groups – children, youth, and adults – as we confront the challenge of building a peaceful and sustainable world community in the context of an ever-evolving civilisation. consonant with this ultimate goal, the buildings have been designed to have symbolic reference to unity in diversity and respect for the environment. the beauty of the buildings and their surrounding gardens also creates an appropriate setting for meetings of devotion or spiritual reflection, especially in the large assembly hall or the central meeting room in the courtyard. the functioning of the centre will accord with the principles and teachings of the bahá'í faith, especially in extending a warm welcome to
