our focus is to reduce child abuse and child neglect in southwest missouri by providing a safe place for parents/guardians to leave their children when addressing short-term emergencies or crisis. children can stay a minimum of 24 hours up to 30 days in a fiscal-year. while the child is in our care, family advocates develop a customized plan for the parent to follow to resolve their situation and a customized plan for the child while the child is with us. the family advocates conduct follow-up calls to the parents/guardians up to one year after the child has stayed at isabel's house to provide support, adjustments to service plans and additional referrals to address any new concerns - we strengthen families and keep them together.
