Janet Myers Children's Photography

i am a freelance photographer based in portsmouth, uk. before becoming a photographer, i worked as a primary school teacher and educational psychologist for 10 years in calderdale, london and portsmouth. in 2000 i trained as a photographer at the city of westminster college in london. since then, i have combined my professional skills with my love of photography to work primarily as a children’s portrait photographer in my own studio, and as a playgroup and school photographer, producing portraits and marketing material, and carrying out photography projects with schools and in the community. my experiences working in mainstream and special schools, and as a mum of two young children enable me to create images that capture special moments of childhood and that reflect the positive and exciting work carried out in our schools.
