sound the alarm: answer the call of africa's youth is a small grassroots non-profit organization that seeks to facilitate youth access to education in african countries. we strive to make schooling effective, accessible and sustainable for young africans and create an environment conducive to learning. whether this means paying for a student's medical expenses, providing funds for upgrades to school buildings or tuition fees, all of the initiatives supported by sound the alarm are founded on the belief that those who wish to pursue an education should be provided with the opportunity to do so. sound the alarm is currently funding projects in western kenya that support children, teens and young adults as they work towards their learning goals, while raising awareness among canadian youth regarding the needs of developing communities. believing strongly in the power of youth, we work to facilitate the potential of young africans and involve young canadians along the way.
