St George's Parade Manchester

a community not for profit organisation set up to celebrate england's patron saint by organising a street parade through manchester. the event is a cavalcade of floats, bands and walking parties that snake their way into the city centre via oldham road & oldham street in a celebration of the diversity of the mancunian communities and culture. a fusion of colourful, noisy and flamboyant fun for all which begins just east of the city before passing through the city centre via piccadilly gardens and out along newton street, great ancoats, butler street & bradford road. the event reflects the community spirit and this free to attend event has grown to become one of the largest st george’s parades in the country and attracts thousands of visitors.
