st teresa's hospice is a registered charity reg no 518394 - the darlington & district hospice movement. st teresa's hospice aims to provide "choice": c omplete h olistic palliative care o ffered in the patient's c hosen e nvironment we are a registered non-profit making charity and our facilities are available free to all terminally ill patients, regardless of the nature of the disease. we are non-denominational and respect the different cultures of all minorities. we believe that a person has the right to choose where they die, e.g. in hospital, hospice or at home. we look at the whole person and take into account the physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs of the dying patient and his or her family. we offer high-quality medical, nursing and social support to the patient and offer respite and support for carers. we believe that this will enhance the dying person's quality of life and help towards the aim of a peaceful and dignified death. if this can be achieved we believ
