established in 2010, the center for law and religion (clr) at st. john’s school of law provides a forum for the study of law and religion from domestic, international, and comparative perspectives. directed by professors mark l. movsesian and marc o. degirolami, and supported by members of the law school faculty with an interest in law and religion, clr aims to: • examine the role of law in the relationship between religion and the state • explore the concept of law in different religious traditions • promote st. john’s vincentian mission by encouraging an open dialogue on law and religion in the local, national and international communities in addition to hosting academic programs here and abroad, clr coordinates the law school’s law and religion curriculum and hosts clr forum, a frequently updated online resource on recent scholarship, cases and law and religion news from across the globe.
