"stone soup magazine" is the magazine by young writers and artists and geared for the 8 to 13 year old set. founded in 1973, "stone soup" encourages children to read, write, and draw by publishing their best work in a quality format. each issue contains 10 to 15 written selections (stories, poems, and book reviews). every story is illustrated in color by a child artist. in its 36 years of publication, "stone soup" has published more than 8000 pages of writing by children from all 50 states and canada, england, new zealand, australia, africa, indonesia, and art from children from over 25 countries.
