the supportive older women’s network (sown) is a pioneer in providing cutting edge supportive services, dedicated primarily to older women as they age. our mission is to support adults, especially women over 50, through life transitions. for nearly 30 years, sown has found effective ways to enhance older women’s ability to function independently, prevent isolation, maintain roles in their families/communities, and improve quality of life. annually, we serve approximately 800 older adults and their families.
