Iosh Alberta Association (Industrial Occupational Safety & Health)

the iosh alberta association consists of companies engaged in various aspects of industry health and safety management. the council was formed in the late 1960’s (formerly known as the alberta petro-chemical safety council) as a vehicle for sharing of information and possible resolution of occupational health and safety challenges in the industry. the association has evolved into an organization that includes, but not limited to, such industries as oil and gas production, refining, industrial, turnarounds, logistics, chemical producers, as well as any companies with significant involvement in multi-contractor projects that include maintenance, construction, heavy haul, remediation or distribution. we meet six times per year in edmonton and average 2-3 guest speakers per meeting. our speakers provide current information relating to legislation, oh&s, wcb, training, innovative equipment and tools, as well as industry programs. if you are unable to attend in person, our virtual meetin
