b. alegre is a full-service design firm and retail showroom created by seattle-based couple jesslyn howard and philip benjamin. b. alegre began with an empty condo on seattle’s capitol hill. frustrated with the limited selection offered by mainstream retailers, jesslyn and philip set out to discover sources of exceptional and one-of-a-kind objects that reflected their personal aesthetic. this journey, and the connections the two made along the way — both locally, and around the country — led to the creation of b. alegre objects, a retail space focused on distinctive found objects. following a positive reaction to their aesthetic and a desire for greater collaboration, b. alegre expanded to offer interior design and styling services. with a cumulative background in psychology and broadcast journalism, jesslyn and philip have a high level of interest and experience in finding out what makes each client unique and then creating spaces that are authentic to the way they live.
