the big foundation invites corporate groups and individuals to volunteer on community and environmental projects overseas where education and enterprise achieve sustainable change. our logistical partners and hosts, camps international, are experts in sustainable travel and chaperone our volunteers throughout their trips. completed in early 2020, the foundation's first groups built a new school nursery in the tsavo region of kenya. apart from giving kudos to the local community, it meant the primary school's youngest students could learn indoors and, as a result, they were awarded a new government-funded teacher. our next project is to create an education centre in the coastal forests of southern kenya where deforestation threatens both the livelihoods of the local people and endangered wildlife. more details of the project are here: https://big-foundation.org/projects/muhaka-kenya/
