our restaurants are thai family owned and we are passionate about our heritage and serving authentic flavours and our rich culture with you. baan thai translates to thai home. in 1998 we opened the doors to our first restaurant baan thai in ballsbridge. from that day onwards our ethos has been to serve you with the rich flavours and the warm hospitality like back home in thailand. the interior of our sister restaurant in leopardstown has been architecturally designed like the traditional homes of the central plains of thailand, displaying murals, ancient artefacts, intricate hand carvings and an intimate thai dining area with plush pillows. it is no surprise that it has been said that walking through the doors of baan thai is like stepping off a plane and finding yourself in amazing thailand. baan thai has been awarded the official thailand brand certificate of authentic thai products by the ministry of commerce in thailand. this lays the foundations for what can be expected of a
