the baby safe sleep coalition's mission is to eliminate infant deaths due to unsafe sleep practices. as a program of jewish family service of rochester, we work with pediatric practices, health professionals, government agencies and nonprofit organizations that serve families and children to educate them about how unsafe sleep impacts our community and how to prevent these deaths. our message: babies should always sleep alone, on their backs, in an approved crib or bassinet with no pillows, blankets, crib bumpers or toys. we provide free education materials for distribution to parents and caregivers
