castle cross foundation and winter garden magazine are hosting this 1st annual event on saturday, october 25, 2014 at the rosen shingle creek resort in orlando, florida. we have identified a severely underserved population – young women and sometimes young men who are high risk cancer candidates with no access to preventative care. those considered at-risk, are individuals with members on both the maternal and paternal sides of their family who have or had some form of cancer. insurance providers do not cover early diagnostics, mammograms nor other services to age groups 18-35 (& in some cases up to 38). we aim to be a differentiating factor in this equation. we intend to further breast cancer awareness for these at-risk individuals while raising funds to provide early diagnostics and mammograms. understanding that cancer candidates and sufferers are often also in need of mental and emotional support, we will establish a hotline and social network support to provide a listening ear
