back edge design studio is esen pence’s passion project / side hustle if you have a business in food, beverage, hospitality, if you’re an artist or a musician, if you know a non-profit that could benefit from design services, creative direction, or consulting in these areas, reach out! esen pence is the principle & creative director at back edge. 15+ years experience leading creative teams & designing for brands with a background in illustration, specializing in food & beverage, consumer goods, and a deep love for digital. currently employed full-time as a creative director at blueshift nutrition, esen is taking passion projects from brands she believes in. having spent over 10 years in coffee and beverage branding, esen has expertly built visual languages for a variety of product lines and marketing & advertising campaigns. when not hanging out at her favorite local cafe, she can be found snowboarding in mountains of vermont or checking out new bands, especially those playing extr
