Back-To-The-Land in the Kickapoo Valley—an Oral History Project

the back-to-the-land in the kickapoo valley project seeks to understand how the national "back-to-the-land" movement played out and interacted with the local kickapoo valley culture, created a community of people that sustained itself and eventually influenced the political and social fabric of the kickapoo valley. interview recordings, transcripts and artifacts will be archived with the wisconsin historical society and be available to academic and community researchers through a state-wide network of area resource centers (see letter of support). in addition, we will develop a web site to provide further access to parts of the interviews and artifacts.
