bakewell and eyam community transport (bect) is a registered charity based in the bakewell area which provides essential transport for people with disabilities, elderly people and community groups. we have a team of staff and volunteers who are committed to providing transport for everyone who cannot easily use other public transport services. we have 11 buses and a wheelchair accessible car. we also operate a car scheme, where our volunteers use their own cars to provide transport. we provide services in rural derbyshire, from the hope valley in the north, down to matlock, winster and elton in the south, from buxton in the west to the north east derbyshire district border in the east.
