Baking Memories Together LLC

i finally got around to making my dad’s scones….7 years after he passed away. the emotions it brought out in me by smelling his scones, touching them, and finally tasting them! it’s one thing to simply remember my dad. remember things he said…things he did. but to actually smell and taste something that was his! his signature recipe! it was all too much…sadly, yet wonderfully too much. my family doesn’t just call them, “scones.” they are “daddy’s scones.” a sudden sense of urgency came over me for everyone. i thought, “people need to save their recipes! these are memories you can bake!” and so, baking memories together was born. we hold the power of a time capsule in our senses. we hear a song and are immediately transported to a special time and place. we catch a scent and a sudden rush of emotions come flooding in from a day long ago… and with one little morsel, we can taste our childhood. baking memories together ….a home for our baked time capsules.
