balancd is not yet operating as a business, but plans are in place to do so when the product is ready for public consumption. my personal goal of the product is to reduce the number of people living paycheck-to-paycheck, and turn them into stable wealth builders. to achieve this i have built a product that i believe technology and accounting novices can use to manage their finances and drive more informed decisions about their financial future. one big way balancd will stand apart is lack of support to scrape data from external sources like bank accounts. i believe that in order to achieve awareness, the user must 'touch' every financial transaction that occurs in their life. the feature goals of the product are: -security -no importing of data from banks -manual transaction entry -automated transaction recurrence -goals management -analysis of budget trends -forecasting of budget -bill pay reminders balancd has been in closed beta since 2009. the closed beta has driven a redesign and
