the bald beauties project was conceived and created by kelsey taylor luria during her treatment for acute myeloid leukemia. although kelsey lost her battle with cancer, her spirit, legacy and desire to positively impact the lives of children with cancer lives on through the bald beauties project. our mission is to empowering & impacting the lives of children & young adults with cancer. currently the bald beauties project primarily focuses on three areas: beauty & self confidence · the bald beauties photo project will empower children and teen cancer patients who lose their hair through chemotherapy by providing them a professional photo shoot to help them gain courage, strength and confidence while also enabling them to feel beautiful even without their hair. kindness · teenagers who have been diagnosed with cancer have multiple needs and many are quite different that those of non-teenage patients. while young children are often offered a variety of toys, stuffed animals and gifts duri
