Ballina 2023

in 2023, ballina will mark 300 years since the formal establishment of the town by lord tyrawley. this offers an opportunity for the community of ballina and its environs, past and present, to celebrate and participate in a year-long programme of collaborative events and activities that will create civic pride and promote community engagement through honouring the past, and celebrating the present and inspiring hope for the future. ballina 2023 is a steering group/organising committee has been set up to guide the planning and facilitate the delivery of this year of events. it is also our mission to develop a strategic vision statement for the town that will chart the course for the future development of ballina. in a nutshell our purpose is to help the people of ballina: honour the past, celebrate the present, inspire hope for the future.
