bambica is dedicated to the design and production of customizable and modular contemporary furniture using bamboo and other environmentally sustainable materials. our first product offering, slated for 2011, is a modular shelving system. the system is designed to be rapidly constructed and reconstructed in different forms and formats. in effect, we put elements of design and creativity into the hands of the end-user. the ability to break down and recreate the product inspires the same level of creativity as would a children's construction toy, such as legos. practically speaking, the ability to break down and flat pack the shelf allows for efficient transport, minimizing transportation costs, and maximizing the lifetime value of the product. the bambica shelving system stands on a foundation of expert craftsmanship, design and environmental sensitivity.
