bamboleo dance is a australian based salsa team owned by world champion and australia's got talent finalist - juan carlos ospina sanchez. bamboleo dance is the only salsa team in australia specializing in the unique salsa style known as cali style salsa - a form of salsa dancing originating in the city of santiago de cali in colombia. juan carlos grew up in cali and trained in a professional team that ranked in the top 5 in the city. in 2009 juan achieved 4th place in the world salsa championships in cali against 300 other professional dancers. since 2009, juan has moved to australia to share this unique style with melbourne, and australia at large. his salsa team bamboleo trains in south yarra and performs around melbourne at various events. classes run every wednesday: 7pm - colombian salsa technique (casual drop ins available) 8pm - colombian salsa choreography (must book in for 10 week term)
