el banco de alimentos puebla es una fundación de asociación civil mexicana sin fines de lucro, que opera desde 1996 y se dedica al rescate de alimento para combatir el hambre y mejorar la nutrición de la población vulnerable en el estado. recolectamos, seleccionamos y distribuimos alimento de las empresas y centrales de abastos que ya no son comercializables pero son 100% comestibles, para brindarlo a las familias de escasos recursos. actualmente estamos formados por mas de 60 voluntarios y 31 personas contratadas. tan solo en 2014 atendimos a más de 60 comunidades rurales y urbanas y a más de 50 instituciones., esto significa más de 45 mil beneficiados semanalmente, 249,768 despensas en promedio y mas de 6,729,246.23 kilos de alimento recolectado.
