Band of Rescuers

band of rescuers north yorkshire (borny) came about when a number of animal loving individuals came together to form a team, helping animals in need within the community in various different ways. in 2015 it was decided that to gain some much needed support from the wider community we needed to set up a public platform for sharing our work, it was then that borny as we know it today was born. we are based in north yorkshire but our work often takes us to other areas of yorkshire and beyond. what is unique about borny is that instead of a cattery-based setup, we have a network of foster carers in and around york who welcome into their homes these abandoned, stray or neglected felines, where they can be given the tlc they deserve. once back to full health and given the green light from the vets, the borny team find forever homes for the cats where they can begin their second chance at life. the charity is supported by other invaluable volunteers who help with fundraising, transport and
