banksia academy is a not-for-profit organisation providing training, education, access to appropriate and sustainable employment opportunities, and a program of trauma-informed wrap-around supports for women survivors to achieve long-term financial independence. women survivors face multiple barriers to safe, secure and flexible work - yet they need it to rebuild their lives. our theory of change reflects the belief that we need to collectively lift our gaze to a horizon where we see beyond low-skilled work and a life on the poverty line for vulnerable women, and instead support women into full social and economic participation.
