the barbados alzheimer's association is a charity that is registered on the island of barbados as a charity. focus & aim to identify, develop and promote programs to aid in the education of the barbadian public about alzheimer’s disease and its impact on family life. the provision and establishment of support services, and the sourcing and dissemination of medical information, re alzheimer’s disease. outreach & education yearly lectures were given by medical professionals from the united states, canada, and barbados a series of public seminars are also conducted in partnership with the national committee on aging and the national assistance board. home visits to offer advice and support to families with relatives suffering from dementia. bi-annual teaching programs offering training to caregivers and interested persons. future goals the establishment of the day-care facility is very much the focus of the association. this is currently in progress as we are looking for assis
