Barcelona Institute of Architecture - Biarch

the barcelona institute of architecture (biarch) is an international postgraduate institution established to further the interaction between academic research, specialized practice and the dissemination of contemporary architecture. biarch is an open laboratory for professionals and researchers that aims to promote new ways of thinking about architecture and design in the face of technological, energetic, and economic conditions in permanent change. running in parallel to it's ongoing open lecture series, the institute's academic program is concentrated in its post-professional master’s degree, which is held entirely in english and open to individuals holding a professional degree in architecture. with a diploma awarded together with the universitat pompeu fabra and the universitat politècnica de catalunya and supported by an outstanding international faculty, the contents of the mbiarch program combine both advanced theoretical and design-based research and production.
