the company is formed by a group of well known security professionals with a huge expertise in network security market in turkey. it is aimed at working with the best security products while providing the best support / service possible to its customers. as of 2014 the company is owned by okan yucel (ceo) and murat huseyin candan (cto). number of employees have increased 50% each year, resulting in 45 on 2014. the company supports more than 100 customers, and works with 18 vendors. professional services department has been established in 2009, responsible for providing penetration tests, stress tests, organizational and operational security consultancy services. there is an on site training facility for 12 people for various product/technology training sessions. as of 2014, more than 10 major governmental agencies are relying on barikat's consulting services to secure their systems. there are more than 10 security specialists, working full time in certain government organizations
