barkly regional arts (bra) is a grass-roots regional arts organisation working with community in remote regional australia that has a large indigenous demographic. it is the regional hub for the arts in the barkly region. we deliver and broker multi arts programs and initiatives into a region of approx. 300,000 sq. km. bra provides an interface between mainstream and indigenous cultures that reaffirm core bra values including a celebration of and respect for cultural diversity and recognition of a unique indigenous demographic. as a best practise cross-cultural regional arts organisation, bra has developed protocol-driven and consultative methods of engaging with diverse cultures to provide resources for these distinctive cultures to express themselves in innovative ways. bra develops local, regional and national partnerships to facilitate and promote artistic activities, nurture the creative expression and showcase the diverse cultural riches of the barkly region to the wider communi
