Barnraisers - A Charitable Group

barnraisers - a charitable group, was founded by a group of like-minded young business professionals with the goal of identifying worthwhile charities that were both impactful in the community and operationally efficient in their management and fundraising activities. these charities would receive 100% of the proceeds from barnraisers events. the group collaborated with corporate partners such as canadian western bank, enerplus, sleeman brewery, big rock breweries and labatt canada to raise awareness and donate funds to these charities. barnraisers donated over $100,000 to a range of calgary based non-profit organizations, including safe haven foundation of canada, als society of alberta and agape hospice. due to other professional and volunteer interests, the barnraisers ceased activity in 2008.
