Barracuda - Software for Daos

there’s no single definition of a dao (decentralized autonomous organization). wikipedia calls it “an organization represented by rules encoded as a computer program that is transparent, controlled by the organization members and not influenced by a central government.” others have called it a “group chat with a bank account”. at barracuda, we understand that daos are a tool, not a product in their own right. they can give a community lasting power because it removes the reliance of any one person or “node” to survive. they can empower product evangelists to participate in building a project - and share in the profits. they offer increased transparency and more equitable distribution of value. they are also really difficult to operate. we’re in the early stages. there is no playbook for how these work (no matter how many people might offer their version of one). with decentralization comes inefficiencies. moreover, they sometimes require blockchain development work. our goal at bar
