the mission of barrington area conservation trust (bact) is to preserve our community's rare and exceptional open spaces for current and future generations. this mission is achieved through land protection & preservation contributing to healthy ecosystems regionally. conservation education through various programs promotes building a land legacy for future generations. membership includes volunteer opportunities to help preserve the integrity & beauty of land within and around the barrington communities. membership also provides access to bact owned preserves, invitations to bact sponsored events, and a free conservation @ home consultation. periodic newsletters are sent to keep supporters informed of bact work and the environmentally healthy impact being made in the communities. for more information visit www.bactrust.org.
