Barstinations

barstinations is a multi-platform project that begins with the book: savannah barstinations: a guide to savannah bars & pubs: an art book (due out feb 2012). the barstinations website, launch date july1st, will reinforce our aim to promote local watering holes through tourism, art, and social organization. we are in the process of building a collection of local partnerships, including an official barstinations hotel, an official barstinations bed and breakfast, and an official tour operator. the art artistically, our vision is to create a sketchbook / photo album feel that communicates the atmosphere and character of each individual place so that the reader can intuitively experience the place before physically arriving there. the artwork is a combination of art, photography, and exquisite design. in addition to being a reference book, savannah barstinations will be an artistic experiment in visual communication. the experiment will continue by inviting other artists to add to the visu
