dutch born and raised bart koene launched his brand barts in 1992, starting with a summer collection of colourful bandanas. shortly after, he went on to launch his first 3 beanies. a lot has changed since then. a lot more beanies. more colleagues. but the same amount of joy and excitement. it is at our head office in amsterdam where it all happens. the designing. the selling. numbers crunching. brainstorming. cosy coffee breaks and merry friday drinks. this is where it all happens. but, is it? is it really where it all happens? imagine us outside office hours. you’ll find us running, kite surfing, skiing or going for long walks. you’ll see us biking the canals of amsterdam or walking alongside the cold and windy dutch beaches. you’ll find us strolling the city and having brunch with friends. life starts outside. that’s what we believe at barts. barts goes beyond the four walls of our office in amsterdam. we love what we do: creating accessories. it is with true spirit and excitement th
