blc established “legends of the negro leagues” tribute in 1999 to “honor the effort and preserve the legacy” of 59 men whose baseball careers on the segregated base paths of the negro leagues helped pave the way for jackie robinson’s historic mlb debut and served the integration process in the years that followed. our work has garnered awareness for these men in the form of a congressional resolution, a documentary film, and produced the finest collection of autographed memorabilia to celebrate negro leagues baseball and made it available to the public! a portion of revenues generated will benefit our team members, their widows, and charity organizations whose mission is consistent with the preservation of our "legends of the negro leagues!" visit baseballinlivingcolor.com to meet our honorees, join the team and participate in this celebration.
