Basic Educare Teachers'​ Training

in the past, many children were sent to "places of care" called créches, where they were simply cared for and kept safe by an untrained or unqualified child minder, without any specific attention being paid to education or development of the child. after years of research, it became apparent, that children require greater stimulation during the first six years of their lives. these first years are the most formative and children should be holistically developed in order to cope with not only grade 1, but with life in general. developing children holistically targets their physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual developmental stages. it was realised that children can not be holistically developed with care alone, therefore the incorporation of "education" and "care" to form educare. in offering educare, staff should be suitably qualified and trained to care and teach, as the children should be provided with well prepared and planned daily programmes.
