basis health group, pllc, is a group of behavioral health experts who work to place access to psychiatry into the hands of primary care physicians as well as other healthcare providers. we do this through both consulting and providing telepsychiatry staffing and coordination for groups all over the us and beyond the shortage in mental health care is felt throughout our world and affects people of all income levels. according to the world health organizations'​ mental health atlas 2014, nearly half of the world's population lives in a country where there is less than one psychiatrist per 100,000 people.[1] the physicians who are left to help this population are overburdened primary care physicians, who have no access to the psychiatric professionals they need to maintain the health and safety of their patients and their communities. as a medical group, we desire to care for the communities we serve by speaking into an area where people can feel very alone and vulnerable. we believe that
