Baxi: The Bike Taxi

baxi is india’s first on-demand motorbike taxi company and is based out of gurgaon, haryana. the company received $1.5m in one of the largest seed round investments in the country led by ht media including 25 other prominent individual investors. baxi launched its commercial operations in gurgaon in dec 2015 and then expanded to faridabad, a second city, in january 2016 making it the largest and fastest growing motorcycle taxi company in the country! baxi partners with the drivers of the motorcycle taxis (baxi buddies), ensuring that the common man has an opportunity to be an entrepreneur himself rather than be an employee. within a month of operations, the company had already completed 10,000 rides and doubled the fleet. it is currently working hard on expanding its operations in the rest of haryana, india and creating operational excellence in the cities in which they operate.
