founded in 2004, bay area parent leadership action network (plan) unites and strengthens diverse parents so that every child can have access to an excellent education. plan believes that knowledgeable and engaged parents are essential to children’s educational success, school improvement, and healthy communities. every day, we train and organize parents, particularly those residing in low-income and immigrant communities, to be leaders in their children’s education, because it takes engaged parents to turn struggling schools into thriving schools.
