bayley house is a thriving, client focused not for profit organisation which provides a range of support programs and services for adults with an intellectual disability. based in the bayside suburb of brighton in southern metropolitan melbourne, the organisation was established in 1951 as part of the helping hand association. from its small beginnings bayley house has grown significantly and currently supports over 220 individuals, many of whom live in the surrounding area. our services include an extensive day program, supported accommodation and short term respite. the day program offers activities that varied and cater for differences in interest, ability, age and support requirements. activities include work education programs, creative art sessions, music and dance programs, computers and digital media, health and fitness and much more. programs are flexible and provide each person with new experiences and the opportunity to develop skills, increase independence and participate a
